Job Description

As an Accountant – Payables, you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, staff expenses, and other payables in compliance with the company’s policies and vendor terms. You will ensure integrity in cash flow updates and payment reconciliations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Invoice Processing & Payment Management: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, staff expenses, and other payables.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Relationship Management: Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Reporting & Financial Analysis: Prepare accounts payable aging reports, vendor listings, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Cross-Functional Support & Business Continuity: Collaborate across finance and operational teams.
  • Service Delivery & Continuous Improvement: Drive service excellence by monitoring team service levels.
  • Controls & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls, tax regulations, SOPs, and audit requirements.
  • Adaptability & General Support: Demonstrate initiative and resilience in supporting additional finance or accounting responsibilities.

Requirements

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A CPA (Part II or above) or equivalent professional accounting certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or general accounting roles.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Solid understanding of accounts payable processes, internal controls, tax regulations, and financial audit requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in supervising or coaching junior accounting staff will be an advantage.
  • High level of integrity and discretion with financial data.
